FROM INPUTS TO ACRES TO FINAL PRODUCTS, NO ONE DOES THIS LIKE WE DO

Land O’Lakes isn’t your typical company — we’re a co-op after all. We’ve been farmer-owned and farmer-centered since our start in 1921.

The Land O’Lakes network touches every step of the food supply chain, reaching 25% of America’s farmers and 50% of America’s harvested acres. We are the farmers that grow food. We are the ag retailers that farmers turn to for everything from seeds to other inputs to on-the-ground advice. We make the food products that end up on store shelves.

We view sustainability from all angles. Our businesses — crop inputs, animal feed and dairy foods — give us a unique farm-to-fork view into food production. Even better, it lets us impact farm-to-fork sustainability like no one else.

Farm To Fork

We’ve always believed a farm’s success depends on the health of the air, land and water that make it up. Our farmer-members and others completely agree. You can see it in their commitment to what we’re trying to achieve.

  • We’ve set goals with Walmart to reduce 10 million metric tons of greenhouse gases by assessing 20 million acres through Conversation Agronomy and 100% of our member-milk supply through Conservation Dairy by 2025.
  • As of 2017, over 35% of our member-milk supply has been assessed by Conservation Dairy. That puts our goal of 100% by 2025 well within reach.
  • Conservation Agronomy enrollment is approaching 30 ag-retailers in the United States and Canada. And growing fast.
