New Collaboration Between “Farm Equipment Nerds” AGCO and Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN a Win for Farmers

Here at Land O’Lakes, we work to support a more sustainable food system—across our agronomy, crop inputs and seed business WinField United to our sustainability solutions-focused business unit Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN, we are always on the lookout for the next best thing for farmer profitability and stewardship. Anything that makes farmers’ jobs easier, faster and more efficient, safer and – perhaps most importantly – better for both the farm and the planet long term is right up our alley. An important part of a more sustainable food system (but one people hardly ever think about) is the equipment farmers use to grow food.

That’s why we are thrilled to launch a new collaboration between global agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO Corporation and Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN.

This new collaboration combines Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN’s expertise in technology, insights and in-field capabilities focused on farmer-led stewardship with AGCO’s cutting edge applicator tools. Working together, AGCO and Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN can offer farmers new and expanded ways to make the most out of crop inputs, safeguarding natural resources and optimizing their operation’s economic sustainability.
AGCO, headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, is a global leader in agricultural solutions, known for brands like Massey Ferguson, Challenger, Fendt, GSI and Valtra. AGCO has a longstanding collaboration with Land O’Lakes through WinField United, and this new collaboration with Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN further builds on that relationship.
An important component of this new offering for farmers is Land O’Lakes’ ag retailer network, which reaches more than 300,000 farmers nationwide and touches approximately half of all harvested acres in the U.S.

This network of farmers and retailers allows us to work together to make positive environmental change at scale. Ag retailer and fellow Minnesotan company, NuWay K&H Cooperative, has offered precision ag services to farmers for almost 25 years and is excited about this new collaboration. They, and other Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN retailers will be offering AGCO’s cutting edge precision application equipment.

According to Jeff Crissinger, vice president of agronomy sales and marketing at NuWay-K&H Cooperative, this new partnership will “help us continue to support our growers through leading technologies that support both the grower’s business and their environmental impact.”
